Pulsation-induced Spectroscopic Variability of IRAS Z02229+6208

Abstract Monitoring of high-resolution spectra in the optical and near-infrared wavelength region was carried out for early post-AGB stage star IRAS Z02229+6208 with CARMENES instrument to reveal spectroscopic variability over pulsation cycle 154 days. Significant changes are seen both intensity position carbon-bearing molecular lines. Strong broad CN red system lines, blueshifted up 9.4 km s −1 relative stellar photosphere, near light minimum. Near maxima, features weak most them emission, e.g., emissions (0,0) lines seen. A site formation absorptions appears be an extended atmosphere a cool affected by pulsation. In addition, we observed narrow absorption C 2 Phillips (2, 0), (3, 0) (2,0), likely related circumstellar envelope produced during evolution on asymptotic giant branch (AGB). An expansion velocity shell found V exp = −11.1 mass center, agreement that estimated before from CO The seems typical pulsating stars.
